Title: Input/Output Type Specimen (2018)

Brief: Modify an existing typeface and create a system for your new typeface.

Concept: Inspired by sound waves emitted from guitar pedals, I modified Avenir Black to create "Input/Output", an experimental and dramatic typeface, set in both outline (Input) and bold (Output). Suitable for headings and large-scale type. 
The type specimen is inspired by the circuit diagrams used to build a distortion guitar pedal.
